Hiking and trekking
As one of the smallest countries in South America, Ecuador offers hikers so much variety and opportunities than any other country in South America.
From short hikes on the coast, in the highlands or in the rainforest to long day trips or multi-day trekking tours in the wildly romantic Paramo landscape or in the rainforest, everything is offered here around the equator.
We take you to the crater lakes Mojanda, Cuicocha, Quilotoa, the volcanoes around the Cotopaxi like Pasochoa, Ruminahui and Sincholagua, in the north Fuya Fuya and Imbabura, to the mountains near Quito, Rucu Pichincha and Guagua Pichincha and not to forget to the fascinating volcanic mountain Sumaco in the jungle.
The fascinating flora and fauna of the country with many orchids and Bromelies, the huge Ceibo trees and the many, still used by the locals medicinal plants, attract hikers.
