The Andes (Spanish “Cordillera de los Andes”) are the longest mountain range in the world and the highest mountain range outside Asia. The Andes, with a north-south extent of 7500 kilometers, extend along the west coast of South America from Venezuela to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.
The highest mountain of the Andes is the 6962 m high Anconcagua, in Argentina on the border with Chile. Thus, the Andes after Himalayas, Karakorum, Hindu Kush, Pamir, Tian Shan and Tibet are the seventh highest mountain in the world, at the same time the highest outside of Asia.
Due to our experienced, internationally trained mountain guides, ANDENGIPFEL REISEN also offers mountain and trekking tours along the Andes in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina.
