Karla Riegler
General Manager
Karla Riegler is the founder and CEO of Andeangipfel Reisen. She grew up in the small village Opponitz in Austria and already in her childhood she discovered her passion for nature and the mountains. In addition to skiing, cross-country skiing, MTB and athletics, she began at age 14 to sport climbing, where she quickly achieved very good results in various national and international competitions. She traveled to many countries around the world to explore the mountains and rocks (USA, Australia, Thailand, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Peru, … just to name a few). After graduating as a sole trader, she took over the mountain sports shop “Condor” in Waidhofen an der Ybbs, which she successfully ran for 8 years. By the way, she was for many years youth leader in the Alpine Club Waidhofen and trained the youth team. What Karla always pushed forward was the curiosity for a full and intense life. Therefore, she sought a new challenge and went on a journey, she started to South America. After Peru, she got to know the people and treasures of the small country at the equator, Ecuador. She is a passionate outdoor woman who has explored many hidden regions of Ecuador. She loves to pass on her wealth of experience to the guests and to arrange the individual programs uniquely. She speaks perfect German, Spanish and English.

He is our main guide in the team, co-founder of Andengipfel Reisen, enthusiast and passionate mountaineer, who has more than 20 years experience in the Andes (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia), in the Alps (Austria), in Croatia and in the Karakorum ( K2) has. He appeals to every single customer, motivates you and his top priority is to bring everyone back down well. He is a Certified National and International Mountain Guide (ASEGUIM / IVBV) and you can expect from him nothing less than a most experienced and best guide. His native language is Spanish, he also speaks fluent English and some German.
